Paul Weiss to hire Simpson Thacher partner in City

Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison is set to hire Alvaro Membrillera as the firm’s first lateral partner hire in London. Membrillera was recruited from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where he is a corporate partner. If hired, Membrillera will be the third UK-based partner for Paul Weiss, alongside current partners Mark Bergman and David Lakhdir. The two current partners relocated from New York in 2001 to launch a London base for Paul Weiss. Membrillera has been with Simpson Thacher since 2002, and became a partner in 2010.
