Dentons expands into Myanmar via Livingstons takeover

Dentons has expanded into Myanmar with the takeover of Yangon-based Livingstons Legal, a boutique corporate firm based in Yangon. The move is part of Dentons’ expansion efforts in Southeast Asia. The Yangon firm will be renamed Dentons Myanmar, and will be led by Mark Livingston, who was managing director at Livingstons Legal. The office also includes seven lawyers, and will work closely with Dentons Rodyk, the firm’s Singapore base. Dentons global chairman Joe Andrew said recent economic and political developments in Myanmar have paved the way for new opportunities in the country.
