Four-partner Ashurst team leaves Paris office for Gibson

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has hired a four-partner team from Ashurst’s Paris office, curtailing its efforts to maintain stability in its European practice. The hire comes five months after five corporate partners left the same office to join Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. The team is led by Jean-Pierre Farges, who will launch a new French litigation and finance practice for the firm. Farges joins Gibson along with corporate partner Bertrand Delaunay, finance counsel Amanda Bevan, and disputes partners Eric Bouffard and Pierre-Emmanuel Fender.
