Bond Dickinson loses QBE panel spot, prompting redundancy offers in Bristol

Bond Dickinson has lost a panel spot with QBE, an Australian insurer, leading the firm to offer as many as five voluntary redundancies in its Bristol location. The redundancies are part of a restructuring effort within the firm’s professional risks team. Bond Dickinson has confirmed that all lawyers who left the firm have found new roles. The firm announced last week that it will finalize a combination with US firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice. The combined firm, which is set to launch on 1 October, will be named Womble Bond Dickinson, and will become a top 20 firm in the UK.
