Material conflicts delay merger between Norton Rose Fulbright and Chadbourne

The merger between Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) and New York-based firm Chadbourne & Parke has been delayed due to some material conflicts that arose during the firms’ review process. According to a statement from NRF global chief executive Peter Martyr, the firms completed a comprehensive review of potential conflicts that could affect the combination. He said the firms will provide an update once they work through the conflicts. The upcoming combination will expand NRF’s US footprint two years after the firm merged with Texas-based Fulbright & Jaworski. Chadbourne is based in New York and operates nine additional offices in the US, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
