Pinsents hires head David Young from Maclays

David Young will leave his position as head of financial services at Scottish firm Maclay Murray & Spens to join Pinsent Masons. He will split his time between Pinsents’ Edinburgh and London offices, where he will work in the firm’s funds and finance practice. Young has spent his legal career at Maclays, and has been a partner since 2009. He focuses on asset management regulation, fund structuring, formation and investment matters for fund managers and investors. He has worked with clients such as Lloyds Banking Group, Threadneedle, Aberdeen Asset Management, Lothian Pension Fund, Dalmore Capital, Scottish Widows, Railways Pension Scheme and Martin Currie.
