Singapore dispute shakes up Morgan Lewis

A public dispute among Singapore’s prime minister and his siblings has caused a stir at Morgan Lewis Stamford. The dispute involves Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong and siblings Lee Wei Ling and Lee Hwien Yang. The family dispute is centered around the fate of 38 Oxley Road, where their father, Singapore founding leader Lee Kuan Yew, lived for much of his life. Morgan Lewis Stamford managing partner Lee Suet Fern, who is the wife of Lee Kuan Yew’s youngest child Lee Hsien Yang, has stepped down from her role. Ng Joo Khin is expected to be named the firm’s new managing partner. Lee Suet Fern will likely remain with the firm in a strategic role to help guide its Asia-Pacific business.
