Norton Rose Fulbright and Akin Gump announce trainee raises

Norton Rose Fulbright and Akin Gump have announced salary raises for trainees. Norton Rose first years will receive a 5 per cent raise from £42,000 to £44,000, with second years receiving a 2 per cent increase from £47,000 to £48,000. Newly-qualified solicitors will receive a 4 per cent raise, bringing their salaries from £72,000 to £75,000. Akin Gump has announced that its London-based first year trainees will receive £48,000, up from £43,000. Second-years will receive £52,000, with the firm’s new rates going into effect in September.
