PwC expands in Indonesia via local firm

PwC has expanded its presence in Southeast Asia through a tie-up with Melli Darsa & Co (MDC), a local firm based in Indonesia. MDC was launched in 2002 by Melli Darsa, a corporate lawyer who currently serves as senior partner at the firm. Squire Sanders operated an association with MDC from 2013 to 2015. The six-partner Indonesian firm will become a part of PwC’s global network, but will continue to operate as an independent firm. PwC Indonesia senior partner Irhoan Tanudiredja said the agreement will benefit both MDC and PwC while expanding capabilities for the firm’s clients in the region.
