Chris Pugh steps down as Freshfields co-managing partner

Chris Pugh has stepped down from his role as joint managing partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, a role that he took on in January 2016. He is the second person within four years to step down early from the role, which normally carries a term of five years. Prior to taking on a position as co-managing partner, Pugh served as disputes head at the firm. He will remain at the firm and will continue to work with clients after stepping down as joint managing partner.
