New data on gender diversity at top firms

According to new data from The Lawyer’s UK 200, gender diversity continues to be a struggle for many top firms. The data reveal that just a quarter of partners among the top 200 UK firms are women. This year’s figure rose by just one percentage point compared to last year. Women make up just 18 per cent of equity partners at the top 200 firms. The firms with the lowest proportion of female partners include Holman Fenwick Willan, RPC, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Simmons & Simmons and Macfarlanes.
