CMA hires Norton Rose competition head

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has hired Martin Coleman, who previously served as head of competition at Norton Rose Fulbright. His position at CMA is effective as of 1 October. At CMA, his responsibilities will include strategic direction and policy matters. During his tenure at Norton Rose, Coleman was in the running for chair of the firm’s LLP in 2012, although Stephen Parish had been previously chosen to be re-elected. Norton Rose has seen a number of exits this year, including a group of partners who recently departed from Henry Davis York, a merger partner of Norton Rose in Australia.
