Jones Day loses two more partners in succession
Jones Day is experiencing a trend of departing City partners, as two more partners leave for other firms.
Corporate partner Dan Coppel was recruited by Morrison & Foerster, six years after joining Jones Day from the waning Dewey & LeBoeuf in 2012. His specialties are cross-border M&A and private equity.
Also departing is financial services regulatory partner John Ahern, who has taken a position at Katten Muchin Rosenman. Ahern, whose focus is on European banking and financial services, moved to Jones Day from Addleshaw Goddard seven years ago.
These departures come on the heels of the firm’s loss of Paul Simcock, an acquisition and leveraged finance partner who moved to Vinson & Elkins’ London branch in January.
