Kirkland strengthens infrastructure with two hires
Kirkland & Ellis (K&E) has recruited two partners for its infrastructure finance practice from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Norton Rose Fulbright.
Joining K&E’s Houston office is infrastructure associate from Simpson Thacher Roald Nashi, while joining the firm’s Washington DC office is Rohit Chaudhry, global head of projects and project finance at Norton Rose.
After qualifying with White & Case in 2011, Nashi was hired by Simpson Thacher in 2013, where he has remained until his present departure to K&E.
Chaudhry was grandfathered into Norton Rose Fulbright during its 2017 merger with legacy Chadbourne & Parke. He first began at the legacy firm in 1993 and worked his way up to become head of project finance. His move to K&E marks the end of 24 years with the firm.
