Greenberg Traurig nabs Pinsents corporate crime head
Greenberg Traurig has hired Pinsent Masons’ head of corporate crime Barry Vitou to launch the firm’s first corporate crime practice in London.
Vitou joined Pinsents in 2011 in order to set up its regulatory, investigations and administrative group. Prior to that he was at Winston & Strawn for eight years.
Greenberg’s London office hasn’t seen such a high profile hire since the recruitment of a six-partner team from King & Wood Mallesons at the end of 2016. That team, comprised of corporate partners Michael Goldberg and David Fitzgerald, funds partners Steven Cowins and Marc Snell, tax partner Clive Jones, and transactions partner Matthew Priday.
