Newly merged BCLP sees partners come and go
Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) lost a partner from its London office this week, while at the same time bringing in a hire in Frankfurt.
BCLP private client specialist has left the firm in the wake of its recent merger for Trowers & Hamlins. The 13-year head of legacy firm Berwin Leighton Paisner’s private client group has been tapped to lead Trowers’ private wealth team.
Meanwhile the firm strengthened its German practice with the hire of Dentons’ head of financial regulation and funds Bernd Geier. Geier will step into a similar role at BCLP, leading the firm’s financial regulation practice in its Frankfurt branch.
BCLP Germany managing partner Roland Fabian commented that the firm is expanding its regulatory practice with the “impending Brexit” in mind.
