DLA Piper to grow corporate HK practice with Kirkland hire
DLA Piper has recruited Kirkland & Ellis corporate partner Henry Cheng to join its Hong Kong office.
Cheng’s experience is mainly in representing issuers, lead managers, and others on initial public offerings and overseas acquisitions. He also has a history working in banking, having held jobs at Goldman Sachs and Citibank.
DLA’s Asia Committee chair Terry O’Malley commented that the firm hopes that its projected corporate market growth will be boosted by Cheng’s hire.
In August of last year DLA made a similar hire from Kirkland in Hong Kong, recruiting finance and projects partner Doug Murning.
