Clifford appoints Bahare Heywood chief risk officer
Clifford Chance has appointed its first chief risk and compliance officer ahead of the upcoming GDPR deadline.
The firm has appointed its current head of international compliance Bahare Heywood, who has been with the firm since 2007. She has held her current position for five years.
Heywood’s new role involves overseeing the firm’s programs in data privacy, enterprise risk management, and global compliance. She will report directly to executive partner and general counsel Chris Perrin, who commented that Heywood’s appointment will serve to “anticipate, mitigate, address and manage” the risks clients face.
