Clifford Chance builds corp and finance in promos round

April 24, 2018 Clifford Chance has promoted 26 lawyers to partner in this year’s promotions round, its largest group since the 27 promotions it made in 2012.

In London, seven partners made the cut, one shy of the eight promoted in Continental Europe. Two partners were promoted in Frankfurt and Paris each, signaling their upcoming rise in importance as Brexit approaches.

With ten of the promoted partners being female, women represent 38 percent of the new partners. Nine of the promoted partners are additions to the firm’s corporate practice, with finance receiving six, which is right in line with the firm’s core focuses.
