The three firms that will be providing support to the start-up are Mishcon de Reya (MDR), Baker McKenzie, and Taylor Wessing. MDR announced earlier this month that LitiGate was one of the five start-ups the firm selected to participate in the second cohort of its 10-week technology incubator.
According to MDR’s chief technology officer Nick West, collaboration between law firms “can only help to accelerate” the progressive changes legal seeks. Other firms are beginning to collaborate on supporting such legal tech companies as well. Last month it was announced that Barclays’ incubator program would operate with the support of 14 firms, including Clifford Chance and [Allen & Overy].
