DWF prepares for Newcastle launch with increased hiring
DWF has made a number of hires in preparation for the launch of its fourth Australian office.
Most notably the firm picked up a team of five partners from Sparke Helmore led by the firm’s chairman Mark Hickey. At DWF Hickey will assume the role of chair of the Asia-Pacific practice as well as helping to spearhead the firm’s Newcastle launch.
The remainder of his team is comprised of corporate partners Vi-Ky Lam and David Reid and banking and finance partners Ben Burney and Adam Fuller. These four will all be stationed in Sydney with the exception of Reid who will be part of the Newcastle launch.
The firm also hired restructuring and insolvency partner Kirsten Farmer from HWL Ebsworth.
