Reed Smith expands innovation scheme with added hours
Reed Smith has launched a new innovation scheme, permitting its lawyers to spend 50 billable hours on innovation projects.
Last year the firm did an initial pilot involving 17 lawyers. The scheme is headed by innovation hub manager Alex Smith and chief knowledge officer Lucy Dillon.
The expanded scheme will make it possible for the firm to bring in five more projects for the lawyers to work on. New York financial technology co-head Kari Larson credited the initial pilot with making it possible to impress clients with the new technology, calling it “tremendously helpful.”
