Sidley Austin appoints London corp head as office head
Sidley Austin has announced a shake up in its London office leadership, with corporate partner Thomas Thesing taking over as office head from Matthew Dening.
Thesing has been a stalwart at the office, having served as City corporate co-head since 2001 and working at the firm over 20 years. Prior to that he had worked at legacy Brown & Wood before its 2001 merger with the firm.
Dening’s four-year term as office head ends in July. He joined Sidley in 2004, after working at Baker McKenzie for over a decade. About his stepping down from the role, he said that the past four years were “a great experience” and that he is “delighted” to be succeeded by Thesing.
