DLA Piper to cut 140 jobs in the UK

DLA Piper has launched a second round of redundancy talks which will result in the cut of 30 lawyers and 110 support staff in the UK. The firm already layed off 15 lawyers and 16 support staff last year. DLA Piper will also be asking some new hires to defer their training contracts from 2009 to 2010.
