DLA Piper to cut 54 jobs in Asia shake-up

DLA Piper announced today that it will be restructuring its Asia practice, reducing the firm's headcount in Asia by 54. The consultation affects 20 associates and 34 support staff and is expected to be completed within a month. "The staffing adjustments we are making are necessary and appropriate given the deteriorating economic climate. We are reshaping our resource structure and cost base to better align with current business activity levels as a result of the recent market downturn," said Alastair Da Costa, Managing Director of DLA Piper Asia.
