Joshua Gilmore Receives Top Honor At Boyd School of Law

(Las Vegas, Nev.) Joshua P. Gilmore, a recent graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law and law clerk at the firm of Bailey Kennedy, was recently given one of the highest honors of the year, the James E. Rogers Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award. Gilmore received the award based on his academic performance, course selection, class discussions and forthcoming publication in the Nevada Law Journal. He is projected to receive his Juris Doctorate (JD) degree next month. “Joshua was a stellar student and will be an outstanding attorney,” said Dennis Kennedy, partner at Bailey Kennedy, Attorneys at Law and adjunct professor at the law school. “He has worked hard to achieve the highest honor that can be given at the Boyd School of Law and we are looking forward to having him join our firm after he passes the Nevada State Bar exam.” Gilmore is currently a law clerk at the firm and plans to begin practicing law there pending his passage of the bar exam later this summer. Gilmore, a Las Vegas native, graduated with honors from the Meadows School in 2002. He received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in both Mathematics and Psychology from Tulane University in 2006 with a cum laude designation.
