If the planned merger of Hogan & Hartson and Lovells becomes a reality, the new firm will be called Hogan Lovells.comments powered by Disqus
The American Lawyer reported on the new name, citing a Legal Week story. “Alas, it's not the Harry Potter-esque Hogells,” the American Lawyer says.
A document sent to partners earlier this month revealed the name change and plans for the merged firm to keep two centers of operations, one in London and the other in Washington, D.C., according to Legal Week. The merger would take place in May 2010 if it is approved by partners.
The new firm will be run by Lovells managing partner David Harris and Hogan chairman Warren Gorrell.
