Hogan and Lovells partners approve merger

December 15, 2009 Partners at Hogan & Hartson and Lovells have approved their merger that will create the world’s ninth-biggest legal group by revenue, just behind Allen & Overy.

The new firm will be called Hogan Lovells. Around 2,500 lawyers will generate a turnover of $1.8 billion.

Hogan Lovells will have a 12-member board of directors and a 17-member supervisory committee that is evenly divided between partners of both firms.
