Former DLA Piper partner found guilty of forging payroll statement in salary negotiations

Rudy Lim, formerly a partner with DLA Piper and head of the firm’s Indonesia practice, has been sentenced to two months’ jail time for forging a payroll statement, which he used when negotiating a salary package with his new firm, Duane Morris. Lim allegedly told Duane Morris that his monthly draw had been $65,000 at DLA, when it actually was $25,000. Lim is out on bail and appealing both the conviction and the sentence in the Singaporean courts.
