Addleshaw Goddard unfreezes salaries and introduces performance-based bonus scheme

Addleshaw Goddard has ended a two-year salary freeze and has reintroduced a bonus scheme for non partners. The new bonus arrangements introduce a discretionary bonus award for exceptional performance, with the total bonus payments reaching 40 per cent of the amount that would have been available under normal arrangements. To qualify for a bonus of between 3 and 10 per cent of base salary, associates needed to record a minimum of 1,450 chargeable hours and achieve the required performance rating. The salary freeze has also been lifted, with the firm saying that salaries will be on the basis of market rate, individual performance and market conditions.
