Ogier promotes eight to partnership

Offshore firm Ogier has promoted eight to the partnership in its annual promotions round. Six of the promotions were awarded to lawyers, while the remaining two were awarded to fiduciary arm of the firm. Chief executive Nick Kershaw said: "Our promotions this year reflect an upturn in the market and the growth that we have seen, particularly in our Hong Kong and Cayman offices. "We have seen a steady pick-up across a number of our practice areas and we feel we are in a much more positive position than we were this time last year, and our clients seem to be more optimistic." The details of the promotions are as follows: Cayman Islands Angus Davison (investment funds) Andrew Morehouse (investment funds) Guernsey Fran Watson (investment funds) Hong Kong Tim Bridges (corporate and commercial / finance) Nathan Powell (corporate and commercial) Jersey Nigel Sanders (litigation) Tania Bearryman and Simon Mackenzie have joined the partnership in Ogier's fiduciary arm. Bearryman is director of the employee benefits practice while Mackenzie is director of the firm's fiduciary services and corporate services.
