The All India Bar Exam (AIBE) saga has taken on another twist. The Bar Council of India (BCI) in its last meeting has pushed the AIBE by 3 months to be held during sometime in March, 2011. Unconfirmed sources have informed Bar & Bench that the BCI is scheduled to hold a meeting this Saturday, November 20, 2010 to discuss several issues including the AIBE. The sources have said that the BCI is positive on taking the AIBE forward and that the exam will take place. One of the main issues to be discussed at the meeting is whether practice rights can granted to the students of the current batch subject to them passing the AIBE as an when it is conducted. With the delay of the AIBE, many students had spoken out against the delay in conducting the AIBE.
