Linklaters hires Freshfields partner in London

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner Chris Howard has been hired by British firm Linklaters, and will join the firm’s London partnership. Howard has worked for Linklaters before – he left the firm to join Freshfields in 2004 after being denied partnership. Howard specialises in domestic and international leveraged financings and financial restructurings, has a solid book of clients and is the author of the bestselling restructuring book 'Restructuring Law and Practice' published by Butterworths. Robert Elliott, global head of banking of Linklaters, said: "I am delighted to welcome Chris to the firm. With his track record in leading major transactions for some of the world’s biggest investment and commercial banks, on both the restructuring and new money side, he will be a tremendous asset to the banking practice and to our clients.”
