Pan-Baltic firm Lawin hires 10-strong team from VARUL

Pan-Baltic firm Lawin has bolstered its litigation practice with the hire of ten-strong team from VARUL, led by partner Andrias Smaliukas. Lawin chairman and managing partner of the Vilnius office, Rolandas Valiūnas, commented that the hires will enhance the firm’s capacity in the fieled of arbitration, in particular. Lawin launched in 2004 with the association of Lideika Petrauskas, Valiūnas ir Partneriai of Lithuania, Klavins & Slaidins of Latvia, and Lepik & Luhaäär of Estonia. The firm consolidated the management structures across the three firms in 2010, and is gradually phasing out the legacy firm names.
