Kennedys to merge with Dublin associate firm

Kennedys has announced the formal merger with its Dublin associate firm O’Hare O’Conner Walsh. The seven-partner Dublin office will operate as Kennedys Ireland, and will be Kennedys’ ninth international branch. Senior partner Nick Thomas said: “The decision to take our relationship with OHOCW forward by establishing Kennedys Ireland at this time was driven by very clear client demands for a stronger, market-transforming presence in Dublin.” Kennedys Ireland senior partner James Staines said: “The Irish market for professional indemnity is poised for major changes due to the winding-down of the Solicitors Mutual Defence Fund and other regulatory changes. This is the perfect time to be teaming up with such a fantastic insurance market player.”
