Lawyers from Steven J. Baum launch new firm in Buffalo
Two lawyers from the disgraced New York foreclosure firm Steven J. Baum PC have opened their own firm in Buffalo with 18 attorneys and counting, with plans for another office on Long Island.comments powered by Disqus
Steven J. Baum PC was shuttered in November after six months of probes by the Attorney General and the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and a damaging New York Times column reporting that firm employees had attended a Halloween party dressed as foreclosed-upon homeowners.
The two former Baum lawyers, Adam Gross and Amy Polowy, have started the new shop with another lawyer, Linda Orlans, to form Gross, Polowy & Orlans.
Gross said: “I can take what I learned on my career up to this date, and expand upon it, better it and present the best service to my clients and the best legal work to the courts, and the best service to the communities and the homeowners of New York state.”
