Covington & Burling posts increase in revenue and average profits per partner

US firm Covington & Burling has reported a 5.1 per cent increase in total revenue, going from $581.5 million in 2010 to $611 million in 2011. Average profit per equity partner rose in the same period by 3.9 per cent from $1.15m to $1.2m. The gain in average profits per partner was conducted alongside a 2.7 per cent increase in the number of equity partners, which rose from 224 to 230. Notable hires include five corporate partners from Morrison & Foerster who joined the firm’s London office.
