DLA Piper to adopt all equity partnership model

DLA Piper’s international partnership is set to adopt an all-equity partnership model on 1 May 2012, following the lead of its US partnership, which moved to an all equity structure in 2008 when 275 partners contributed up to $150,000 each to join the equity. Currently, only about a third of DLA Piper’s 700 international partners have equity status. The restructuring will see salaried partners in the firm’s UK, Europe, Asia and Middle East offices purchasing stakes in the partnership, trading in their fixed salary in favour of a profit-sharing system.
