DLA Piper boosts restructuring practice with Goldman Sachs hire

DLA Piper has boosted its restructuring practice with the hire of Justin Conway, an executive director from Goldman Sachs, as a partner in London. Conway has been with Goldman since 2006, before which he was a senior associate at New York firm Mandel Katz & Brosnan. DLA Piper’s international head of restructuring Stephen Halladay said: “As a result of the current economic situation in Europe, one of the trends beginning to emerge is the transfer of debt from traditional lenders to funds of various descriptions. “This will lead to a more dynamic market for trading debt in the UK and Europe. With Justin’s appointment we’re ensuring the strategic development of the practice and the firm to best take advantage of these changes and enhancing the firm’s offering as a start to finish debt trading advisory service.”
