Shoosmiths to make up to 93 redundancies

Shoosmiths has announced that it will make up to 93 redundancies in a restructuring of the firm's consumer legal services arm. Private client practice group chief David Palmer said the firm wanted to "re-balance away from very high volume bulk processing of personal injury work”, and it is understood that the firm aims to focus on practice areas that fit with its business brand, including conveyancing, medical negligence, high net worth wills and probate, as well as complex serious injury and mixed liability litigation.
