Herbert Smith loses star regulatory partner to Linklaters

Herbert Smith is losing one of its star players, with regulatory specialist Martyn Hopper leaving the firm to join Linklaters. Hopper was with Herbert Smith for eight years, before which he was the head of the market integrity group in the enforcement division at the Financial Services Authority. The move follows the departure of contentious regulatory partner Peter Burrell to Willkie Farr & Gallagher in May last year.
