Addleshaw to increase flexible working arrangements
Addleshaw Goddard is set to increase its use of flexible working arrangements in an effort to increase efficiency. The firm intends to launch a pilot flexi-working scheme within its employment practice. It is hoped that the scheme could lead to the return of former lawyers who have left the profession due to frustrations with the long hours.
The move comes after a six-month consultation, in which partners and associates tried to determine the most efficient processes for 46 different types of work, ranging from corporate transactions to employment tribunals. The initiative aims to offer cheaper and more transparent work processes to clients, and gives clients the option of selecting areas that they can carrry out in-house to further save on fees.
