Ashurst to launch support centre in Glasgow

June 13, 2013 Ashurst is set to create 300 jobs in Glasgow after being given a £2.4 million regional selective assistance grant to move to the city.

The Glasgow base will perform support functions for offices across the Ashurst network, initially recruiting 30 legal support staff and adding a further 120 support staff by the end of the year, covering areas such as finance and IT. The office will be led by Mike Polson, a former senior corporate partner at Dundas & Wilson.

The firm is currently conducting consultations with 350 support staff based in London, with some roles expected to transfer to Glasgow.
