Mayer Brown partners leave to launch Paris boutique firm

September 12, 2013 Two litigation partners from Mayer Brown’s Paris office have struck out on their own to start a new litigation boutique. Renaud Semerdjian and Christophe Ayela will work with white collar and crime specialists Francis Szpiner and Caroline Toby to launch the firm under the name Szpiner Toby Ayela Semerdjian.

Semerdjian and Ayela spent four years working with Mayer Brown, while Szpiner and Toby have practised as a boutique together for several years.

The firm will focus on complex litigation and risk management, and has plans to add an employment team in October.
