Leading arbitrators leave firms to create all-star team

March 2, 2014 Leading arbitrators from a number of US and UK law firms are leaving their respective partnerships to launch a new boutique arbitration firm.

The head of Freshfields London arbitration team - Constantine Partasides QC - is leaving along with Jan Paulsson, who currently works as a consultant for Freshfields but previously headed its global arbitration and public international law groups for 20 years. Also leaving Freshfields is Georgios Petrochilos, the current head of the Paris arbitration team and of the firm's public international law group.

Luke Sobota joins the new enterprise from Jones Day, Todd Wetmore joins from Shearman & Sterling, and the global Co-Chair of Covington & Burling's international arbitration group, Gaetan Verhoosel, will join the group also.
