DWF cuts 21 staff in the UK

March 5, 2014 Twenty-one DWF staff are set to lose their jobs as the firm enters into a redundancy consultation.

The jobs are being cut from DWF's finance teams in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, and it is understood that the majority of those affected are legacy Cobbetts staff.

DWF has made three mergers since 2012, and joined with Manchester firm Cobbetts last year when it entered into administration. The firm has previously culled from the lawyer ranks at legacy Cobbetts.

Andrew Leaitherland, Managing Partner and CEO of DWF, made a statement to RollOnFriday: “It is with real regret for the individuals concerned that we have just announced a proposed restructure of our finance team...We will of course do everything we can to minimise the number of people affected and to support them should they need to find another role."
