Arnold & Porter requires staff to apply for their jobs
Arnold & Porter is requiring support staff to reapply for their jobs, with successful candidates facing a pay cut of up to 50%.
The move follows an announcement a couple of weeks ago that the firm would be offering a voluntary redundancy package to its secretarial staff across its global network. The firm explained that it had less need of secretarial work because of an increased reliance on electronic documentation.
The firm is evidently cutting costs after reporting a 6% drop in revenues last year.
