Bankruptcy petition against Jacoby & Meyers Bankruptcy

March 23, 2014 Unpaid creditors have joined together to file an involuntary bankruptcy petition against the collapsed consumer law firm Jacoby & Meyers Bankruptcy LLP.

If the firm enters bankruptcy, lawyers representing the creditors would be given greater powers to recover moneys owed, looking beyond the contingency fees receivable, furniture and equipment to investigate the firm’s former managers. Bankruptcy would provide more transparency and information for creditors, according to the lawyers for creditors.

Jacoby & Meyers Bankruptcy was formed in mid 2012 by a merger between two giants in consumer law: Jacoby & Meyers LLC and Macey Bankruptcy Law PC.
