Eversheds allies with Durban-based law firm

June 2, 2014 Eversheds has formed an alliance with Durban based Knight Turner, giving the firm its eighth office in Africa under the banner of Eversheds KZN.

Eversheds launched a pan-African strategy in October 2013, kicking things off in December with a deal with South African firm Mahons Attorneys, which gave the firm bases in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Port Louis in Mauritius. The firm has also linked up with AEl Heni in Tunisia, now known as Eversheds El Heni in Tunis, and also by Eversheds CWA Morocco with offices in Casablanca and Tangier.

Eversheds chief executive Bryan Hughes said Durban offered “a strong commercial and logistics hub” and the move formed a key part of the pan-Africa strategy.
