DWF to make up to 37 redundancies in Liverpool
DWF is set to make up to 37 redundancies, including both lawyers and support staff.
The redundancy consultation is focussed exclusively on the firm’s fraud and motor teams in the Liverpool office.
Managing Partner Andrew Leaitherland attributed the move to the recent Legal Aid reforms, which he said meant that firms specialising in insurance "are experiencing a decline in motor fraud litigation instructions".
The redundancy consultation follows similar cutbacks in the personal injury practices of Keoghs, which cut 41 jobs in January, Lyons Davidson, which eliminated 80 PI roles last year, and Walker Morris, which closed down its personal injury practice in November.
